Digital Router and DSP Engine

The VADIS 212 is a multi-faceted digital audio router, which uses the VADIS technology of modular architecture and freely assignable slots. It also offers fiber-optic audio networking to reduce wiring costs.

The VADIS 212 can be easily adapted to each customer’s requirements and can grow with the user’s needs. There is simply no better solution for an application requiring any signal available anywhere.

GPI's

The general purpose interface (GPI) is a control signal interface between the VADIS system and external equipment.

The GPI has 2 functions:

  • Control of external equipment by the VADIS system
  • Control of the VADIS system by external equipment

 

General Purpose Interface Boxes

GPI 16

  • 16 inputs and 16 outputs
  • Daisy-chain connected via CMI Bus interface of VADIS Engine
  • External PSU

GPI 32

  • 32 inputs and 32 outputs
  • Connected via Ethernet
  • Integrated PSU

The configuration of the control signal in- and outputs of the GPI is made in the VADIS software to customer‘s specifications. This also includes the configuration of the trigger characteristics of the control signals. So input signals can be defined either edge positive or edge negative. Output signals can be latched or pulsed with a length between 110 ms and 800 ms.

Qphonics’s RCP's (Routing Control Panels) are the ideal solution for fast and easy control of any VADIS router.
