Continues improvements and feedback from the world wide markets in which our products are being used have led to development of the DEC HD – a new console within the DECENNIUM family. The new console offers the user the capability of mixing surround sound sources as well as the usual mono and stereo sources. This makes the DEC HD a valuable and sustainable tool to deal with the demanding production and on-air requirements in today’s broadcast and production environments. Of course the control surface of the DEC HD still has its familiar look and style of the DECENNIUM family: flat-panel design, combining fader modules and a Monitor/DSP/Master Module.
However a totally new fader module has been developed offering new functions such as improved access to buses, audio signal indication and motorized faders with appropriate write-, read- and direction indicators.
Motorized Faders and Multi Layer Architecture
Due to the motorized faders DECENNIUM 5.1/DEC HD complies with all specific demands of TV applications.
It is ideal for connection to TV production solutions, for example Thomson Ignite or ISIS D/ESAM 2.
DECENNIUM 5.1/DEC HD is based on multilayer architecture and offers access to 4 virtual mixing layers. Each single fader can therefore be assigned with up to 4 independent mono-, stereo- or 5.1 surround sources or control sub-groups and masters. It can also be decided whether surround sources are assigned either as discrete audio channels on 6 separate faders or as a 6-ch-block on a single fader, allowing easy cross fades with other sources. Due to the layering the console features a space-saving installation even under limited assembly preconditions is enabled.
